About me
Hello, and welcome. My name is Ariel. I also go by Ari. I'm a proud Chingonx Chicagoan, land originally stewarded by the Ojibwe, Odawa and Bodewadmi. I am a lover of many, many things. My audio work featured on this site holds my personal and freelance projects. As a freelancer producer I have worked on documentary, reporting, history, interview, and fiction podcasts.
In my personal work I hope to create sound tapestries using creative writing, sound experimentation, music making, and the sharing of stories to create texture and beg imagination. Mine and the listener's somatic experience is vital, forever in conversation with my personal audio work and practice.
I also teach audio storytelling to teens living in Chicago, and am a community organizer.
I try to remind myself that I can inhabit all of my desires for what I want to be making and doing in this world. In addition to being an audio producer and artist, I love to explore, cook, and spend time with my chosen and blood family, plants and animals.
Please hit me up with ideas, collaborations, questions, and thoughts. Thank you for stopping by.
